Yesterday, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a scientific and practical conference was held at our university on the topic: "30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Results. Progress. A look into the future." Vice-Rector for Science Alzhan Shamshidin took part in the opening of the conference. And he congratulated his colleagues on the upcoming holiday – Independence Day, noting that during the years of independence, domestic science has developed, and many achievements have taken place in this area. Further, a sectional stage of the conference was organized in the institutes. At the breakout sessions, scientists discussed the following topics: "Actual problems of land use, crop production and food industry", "Modern challenges and transformation of the economy", "Development of science and technology: new ideas and prospects", "Modern challenges for biotechnology and veterinary medicine". Following the results of the scientific and practical conference, all materials were published in a special collection. In total, 105 reports were presented at the meeting, five of them from scientists from Russian universities.
