Support of talented youth, increase of creative potential of students is one of the important parts of the plan of development of the West Kazakhstan Agrarian – Technical university named after Zhangir khan. Apart from the study programs of higher education in order to develop creative abilities, aesthetic tastes of youth, increase of social activity, effective organization of leisure

 time at the university there is a Center for development of creativity of students.

The main tasks of the center:

• organization of creative studios and groups;
• identifying and attracting talented, capable youth in creative studios;
• active participation of teachers and students in the organization of cultural and mass events of the university at a high level, application of a creative, new approach to activities in the field, the city, strengthening the internal and external image of the university;
• formation of amateur groups promoting national art among young people;
• to increase confidence in their capabilities, ensuring creative students active participation in public life, cultural and mass events of the university;
• creating conditions for the development of university graduates – future specialists as a competitive creative person with a broad outlook, fully developed;
• enhancing the cultural and professional level of performers;
• creating opportunities for participation in regional, city competitions;
• development of aesthetic taste, spiritual and moral qualities of students, organization of cultural and creative events that contribute to the formation of patriotic feelings.

Studio “VOCAL”

The purpose of the studio:

• developing individual abilities and talents among young people;
• recognition of the virtues of singing;
• to learn the rules of singing;
• to form the ability to listen and hear music;
• learning to sing a song in a clear, expressive, moving way;
• to learn to understand the content and words of music;
• feel the unity between music and words;
• to learn to understand and distinguish the content of the work, to be able to perform with interest;
• be able to understand and distinguish pitch, rhythm style in music;
• developing the skills of natural pure voice sound, expressive song performance, learning performance in two voices;
• improving musical education of students;

To raise a generation with a developed musical literacy, aesthetic and spiritual mindset, able to thoroughly comprehend the essence of musical art in human life.

Modern dance group “Winners”

Modern dance group «Winners» is created for promotion of modern dance among students.

The purpose of the group:

• Formation of friendship, strengthening of common values ​​and interests of students;
• Formation of students’ skills of self-government and their development
• Teaching young people useful, social activities;
• Creation of conditions for the development of youth interest in sports, cultural-mass events;
• Promoting the development of a creative personality and promoting collective unity.

Club of the Funny and Indentive “Batys”

Club of the funny and inventive is one of the unique projects currently broadcast on television and attracting public attention. This game, which has won the hearts of many young people, does not require advertising, on the contrary, KVN is engaged in advertising. Its main feature is that its work is relevant to the realities of life, politics and society and meets the needs of the modern population. The game is the centre of creative youth, encompassing various genres of performing culture and art, including dance, singing, mime, speech and thought.

        The purpose of the club:

• Developing the diverse creative abilities of young people and realizing their intellectual potential;
• Formation of the younger generation of spiritual and moral potential based on knowledge of the language, culture, history of the people of Kazakhstan;
• increased civic engagement and awareness among young people and adolescents;
• stimulation of cognitive work;
• creating an enabling environment for the intellectual, creative and social development of youth and adolescents;
• development of personal qualities of youth, aimed at formation of responsibility and hard work, development of leadership and organizational abilities;
• the formation of a rising generation of patriotism, a passion for knowledge and self-improvement, firmness, responsibility for the history of the fatherland, for the present and future of independent Kazakhstan;
• creation of conditions for the achievement of international peace and civil harmony, the development of national traditions and customs of the people of Kazakhstan, the strengthening of moral and spiritual riches.

“DOSTYK” club

The purpose of the «Dostyk» club:

Development of Kazakhstan patriotism in our university, improvement of interethnic peace and harmony, strengthening of civil and spiritual-cultural integrity of people of Kazakhstan.

Club tasks:

• Selecting talented students from different nationalities and involving them in national cultural and social events;
• Improving the patriotic, nationalistic qualities of students;
• Discuss, analyze and exchange views on topical issues related to student life in society. Establishing links with clubs in other educational institutions;
• To promote and develop the unity of the people;
• Development, preservation and development of the national culture, languages and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan;
• Building students’ national consciousness, ability to express their thoughts, improve their speech skills by conducting activities among students;
• Promote the formation of student personality traits that will serve the population in the future.

Friendship clubs, together with youth organizations of the region, participate in the promotion of Kazakhstan’s patriotism and national values of our people. It also contributes to the resolution of current issues among young people by creating an open space for discussion among government bodies and youth. By university – a friendship club, which still carries out its work at a high level, the club includes representatives of 27 nationalities. Number of participants – 158.

Bringing together representatives of all ethnic groups of the country to achieve a common goal, interactive cognitive games and various events «Men seni maktan tutamyn – Akjayygym!» «Dostyk dastarhanyn tartu etemiz», «Tatulygy zharaskan – Kazakstan», «Dostyk-Druzhba» and others.

In order to fulfill the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev in the address to the people of Kazakhstan to raise our native language to the status of the language of inter-ethnic relations and mobilization to strengthen spiritual integrity, patriotic patriotism, Ensuring interethnic harmony was organized by the challenge of the members of the friendship clubs of APK WKR and the public movement «Til Mura» under the name «Respect for the state language – respect for the country». It was published on social media on October 19.

Volunteer movement “Zhangir khan urpaktary”

Volunteer movement «Zhangir khan Urpaktary» – based on the long-term experience of the university in organizing volunteer work in WKAU named after Zhangir Khan defined the following concepts:

Volunteer Movement «Zhangir Khan Urpaktary» – a student involved in solving socially significant issues in the form of voluntary, unpaid work.

Volunteer movement «Zhangir khan Urpaktary» – this is the public structure of WKAU named after Zhangir Khan, a subdivision uniting all volunteers of various activities in the organizations of student self-government.

Main directions of program implementation:

• Organizational and methodical support of volunteer activity of students of WKAU named after Zhangir Khan;
• Development of regulations, programs and projects concerning organization of activity of volunteer movement «Zhangir Khan Urpaktary»;
• Development of teaching aids, information brochures for the organizers, volunteers and university students;
• Creation and release of image attributes of the volunteer movement WKAU named after Zhangir Khan;
• conducting educational seminars, trainings and volunteer schools;

The volunteer movement “Zhangir khan Urpaktary” is a voluntary organization whose goal is to adapt students to social life, art and sports, education, morality, and comprehensiveness. Members of the organization work hard on such high moral qualities as kindness, mercy, honesty, conscientiousness, justice, perseverance. The organization has been operating since August 2018.

The purpose: to form an active social and civic position of students, to develop such personal qualities as the willingness to serve society, people in difficult life situations, lonely and disabled people free of charge.

Tasks: to help society in solving social problems; organization and conduct of consulting, informational and methodological support for volunteers.

Number of volunteers: 85

Student time is always famous for the creation of various student organizations and clubs and active participation in the public life of the university. Each year, new students join the ranks and take the baton under the guidance of undergraduate students. Many large projects of the charity movement «Zhangir Khan urpaktary» unite with this university youth. During the pandemic, 176 people were fed, and 11 veterans received home help during the month of charity and 120 veterans received material assistance. Together with specialists, SEC contributed to the popularization of compliance with the general rules of the distance, mastic mode. Work on the national project «Sabaktastyk». In addition, work is carried out in the directions «Birgemiz», «Kamkor», «Taza Alem», «Bilim», «Asyl Mura».

As you know, the future of mankind is in the hands of proactive youth. Therefore, the lives of young people, the country in which they live, depend on how we, adults, parents, teachers, help young people and where we direct their young energies. Volunteer work is a broad environment of activity, which lies at the basis of partrioticism of youth, leadership qualities, mutual understanding and support of students, social activity. In addition to traditional forms of mutual support at the community level, new forms of volunteer activity are being formed, contributing to the cultural and socio-economic development of the State. At present, there are a number of opportunities in Kazakhstan to improve human life through volunteering and to ensure significant human-centred development.

Instrumental Ensemble “Naryn Sazy”

The purpose:

• distribution of works of Kazakh composers and folk music among young people;

• to awaken students’ interest in national art and culture;

• through real art to train spiritual, moral and highly cultured specialists;

• selection of students who play the instrument and work with them;

• active participation in cultural events of the university and in the organization of cultural and leisure work;

• identify talented and gifted students and effectively use their creative potential in educational work;

• development of creativity in the direction of wide distribution among students of the national instrumental genre;

• development of mastery of cultural and professional performance;

• attraction of students to the folk instruments section “Shabyt”.

Debate Center “RUKH”

Debate is an intellectual game, which is a special form of discussion where the rules are strictly followed. Debates develop critical and logical thinking, develop communication culture and public speaking skills, prepare for independent decision-making, and contribute to the formation of individuals as future leaders of society.

The main characteristic of debate is the existence of rules that ensure the collision of opposing points of view. It is necessary not only to make speeches, but also to parry the arguments of the other side, compare your position with the position of your opponents and, thus, convince the judge of your superiority.

The essence of the debate is to convince a neutral third party, the judges, that your arguments are better than those of your opponent. While the essence is simple, the strategies and techniques to achieve the desired result can be complex.

At the Republican level, there are the main formats of debating: Karl Popper format, American – Parliamentary format, British – Parliamentary format, Lincoln-Douglas format.

Our university also has debate clubs “Anarys” and “Zhiger”. In 2015, on the basis of the university, republican and regional debate tournaments were held dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan (June) and the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (August).

Tasks of the debate clubs:

• Formation of an active citizenship of students of a higher educational institution;

• Teaching public speaking and discussion rules;

• Training to diplomatically resolve controversial situations;

• Learning to defend your own point of view;

• Identification of new ideas for the implementation of state youth policy and priority state. programs.
