At the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the celebration of the “City Day”, the grand opening of the stadium complex and summer playgrounds took place.
The opening ceremony of sports facilities was attended by Deputy Akim of the West Kazakhstan region Bakytzhan Narymbetov, Akim of the city of Uralsk Abat Shynybekov, head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the West Kazakhstan Region Kaymen Yesendiyarov.
First, the guests visited open-air summer playgrounds with exercise equipment and sports equipment. Chairman of the Management Board-Rector of Zhangir Khan University Askar Nametov acquainted the guests with the work aimed at improving professional skills in physical culture and sports, instilling a healthy lifestyle in students, sports achievements of students.
Then the guests, residents of the city, teachers and students of the university, gathered near the stadium equipped with modern equipment, witnessed the solemn event of the new complex. The ceremony of cutting the ribbon of the new stadium was held by the deputy akim of the region B. Narymbetov and the rector of the university A. Nametov.
Congratulating the staff and students of the university on the City Day, the opening of new sports facilities, Deputy Akim of the region Bakytzhan Haberovich noted:
– In honor of the celebration of the Day of the city of Uralsk, many events are held. The stadium and sports grounds opening at Zhangir Khan University are a continuation of the great work started last year. All this is a great gift from the management of the educational institution, the founders to the students, – he said, wishing the youth success in science and sports.
Nikolay Kolomoets, a veteran of the university, a judge of the highest category of the Republic of Kazakhstan in kettlebell lifting, and Adilbek Seisov, the pride of the university, a bronze medalist of the Asian Combat Sambo Championship, expressed confidence that young people will grow up at the university, who together with education and science will conquer high peaks in sports.
During the solemn event, students who received educational grants from the akim of the region and the university administration were awarded certificates.
In honor of the opening of the new facilities, friendly meetings were held between athletes and university staff.
