On August 5, at the general meeting of the NGO «National academy of sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan», full members (academicians) were elected of the Satpayev academy from the corresponding member of the department of agricultural sciences. According to the results of voting, Askar Nametov, the chairman of the management board-rector of Zhangir khan university, was elected a full member (academician).
Graduate of the faculty of veterinary medicine of the Moscow veterinary academy named after K.I.Scriabin (1985) Askar Nametov– doctor of veterinary sciences (2005), professor (2008), corresponding member of the National academy of sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2013). After graduating from a leading agricultural university, he continued his scientific and pedagogical activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, he works as chairman of the board-rector of Zhangir khan agrarian and technical university and continues to work in the field of science and higher education.
A.Nametov is a leading scientist in veterinary surgery and veterinary immunology, veterinary and biological safety, molecular biology, veterinary genetics and breeding of farm animals/birds. Author of more than 200 scientific publications, co-author of the first “Veterinary Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (in three volumes), 15 Patents for inventions, 8 breeding achievements in beef cattle/horse breeding and poultry farming, 3 textbooks on veterinary surgery, 4 textbooks on anatomy. He is the founder of his own scientific school, has trained 5 candidates of sciences, 3 PhD.
