In honor of the 10th anniversary of the consortium formation of agricultural universities for the development of the Central Asia and the South Caucasus (CASCAD) countries, on the 10-11th of December in 2020 the First International Scientific and Practical Conference took place on the topic “Sustainable Agricultural Development in Central Asia and the Caucasus”.
During the conference, the following issues were discussed: topical issues of higher education, climate change and sustainable management of natural resources, economics of agricultural development, soil-protective resource-saving agriculture, veterinary medicine. The conference was attended by scientists from 18 higher educational institutions from 6 countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus. Within the framework of the conference, a competition was organized in 7 nominations based on the results of research work of scientists and universities, these are: “The best scientist of 2020 for a significant contribution to the science of the region”, “The best scientist of 2020 according to international criteria”, “The best teacher of 2020” , “The best bachelor student of 2020”, “The best master student of 2020”, “The best doctoral student of 2020”, “The best university of 2020”.
Scientists of Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University became diploma winners in the following nominations: Professor B.Nassiyev in the nomination “The best teacher of 2020” 2nd place, Professor S. Montayev in the nomination “The best scientist of 2020 for a significant contribution to the science of the region” 3rd place, doctoral student professor Nassiyev B. Zhanatalapov N. in the specialty 8D08100 “Agronomy” in the nomination “The best doctoral student of 2020” 3rd place. We congratulate all our nominees, wish them creative success and good luck in all their endeavors, and also express our deep gratitude to the organizers of this conference the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers for the opportunity to participate in the discussion of topical issues of agricultural development in the regions.
