A reserve sergeant who has completed a course of military training at the military department at the university, specializing in «Commander of the military intelligence department of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan», is intended for recruiting the mobilization reserve of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as additional recruitment of non-commissioned officers of units and parts of intelligence units, and parts of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including primary ones.

The reserve sergeant must:

• to have high political, professional and moral qualities, clear and precise ideas about the honor, dignity and nobility of a sergeant, to be able to remain faithful to military duty and military oath in any situation;
• to know firmly and confidently perform their official duties in their position;
• have a high level of tactical, tactical-special, military-technical and general military training;
• have solid knowledge of basic and specialized disciplines, skills to apply this knowledge in practice.

To know:

• application of knowledge of tactical and special intelligence, the basics of modern combined arms combat, means and methods of armed struggle of intelligence units for their skillful management;
• organization of reconnaissance in various combat conditions;
• orientation on the ground, maintenance of a work map, compilation and registration of combat graphic, administrative and information documents;
• knowledge of the basics of the organizational and staff structure, characteristics of weapons and tactics of actions of units of the army of foreign states (up to and including the battalion);
• performing exercises and shooting from regular small arms;
• knowledge of the material part, rules of storage, care and saving of regular weapons of the special purpose unit and the intelligence unit, according to the guidance documents;
• be able to scout targets and determine the range to them. Keep accurate fire, hit targets with the first shot;
• to know the purpose of the units and units of the Armed Forces and branches of the Armed Forces;
• to know the basics of modern combined arms combat, the organizational structure, combat capabilities and the basics of conducting combat operations of combined arms units (up to and including a company);
• education of subordinates with determination and initiative, courage and the ability to take responsibility when making difficult decisions, high moral and combat qualities when performing military duty, in any conditions;
• organization and methodically correct conduct of combat and special training classes with the personnel of the intelligence unit;
• to know the basics of military topography, tactical properties of the terrain, orientation, effective use of topographic maps, determining the coordinates of targets;
• to know and ensure the maintenance of weapons and military equipment in combat readiness, compliance with safety requirements during the operation of weapons and military equipment.

Be able to:

• be able to maintain high combat and mobilization readiness of the unit, firm military discipline and statutory order, use achievements of military pedagogy and psychology, perfect forms and methods of educational work in the training and education of subordinates;
• master the techniques of studying the moral and business qualities of subordinates, forecasting their behavior, methods of work to ensure a healthy atmosphere, friendship and military camaraderie in multinational teams;
• be able to focus their efforts on solving the main issues, correctly combine unity of command and democracy, develop initiative and creativity;
• to identify new means of armed struggle, techniques and methods of warfare;
• to determine the probable nature of actions and the degree of engineering equipment of positions and areas of enemy units, its barrier systems, the degree of terrain patency;
• to identify the psychological characteristics of the warrior's personality, in the interests of solving the tasks of comprehensive training of personnel for combat operations.
