Combat use of combined arms subunits, units and formations

The appointment
A reserve officer trained at the military department in the specialty "Combat use of combined arms units, units and formations", prepared for military service in peacetime and in wartime in units and subunits of motorized rifle troops, as commander of a motorized rifle platoon
Qualification Requirements
The reserve officer must:
  • have a high level of tactical, tactical-special, fire and technical training;
  • have solid knowledge of basic and specialized disciplines, skills in applying this knowledge in practice;
  • to be able to maintain high combat and mobilization readiness of the unit, firm military discipline and statutory order, to use the achievements of military pedagogy and psychology in the training and education of subordinates.
As a result of the study, the student must
To know:
  • subject and tasks of tactics, basic tactical concepts, terms and definitions;
  • the history of creation, structure, tasks and development prospects of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the role and purpose of the services of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • the nature of modern warfare, the means of warfare used in this case, the foundations of modern combined arms combat and its main types;
  • methods and means of command and control of units in battle;
  • purpose, tactical and technical characteristics and general arrangement of weapons, purpose and combat capabilities of IFV weapons.
Be able to:
  • organize the battle of a squad, platoon and manage subunits in battle;
  • to use training devices and technical teaching aids in fire training classes;
  • fire and carry out shooting exercises defined by the program;
  • control the platoon's fire in various types of combat, day and night.
To develop skills:
  • in organizing the main types of combined arms combat by a motorized rifle platoon, solving issues of control, support and interaction;
  • in the calculation of the combat capabilities of a motorized rifle squad, platoon in defense and offensive;
  • in confident actions with weapons during shooting training and firing;
  • in use, in carrying out maintenance, repair of IFV.
