On 27 September, the Zerek team, whose participants are undergoing the business incubation programme of Zhangir Khan University Business Incubator, took the first place in Jaiq Hackathon: Digitalisation in Oil and Gas and HSE.
The best teams performed in the finals. Among them was the team ‘Zerek’ of masters and students of Zhangir Khan University consisting of Aikhan Urazalin, Asylzhan Zakaria and Erasyl Baizakov.
According to the members of the team, their participation in this event was very interesting and useful. It was a great opportunity for them to show their potential, learn to work in a team, develop creative thinking. And they managed to win thanks to their ability to research, experiment and find effective solutions to new problems.
The essence of their project was to improve safety at work and environmental protection using artificial intelligence. The winners received certificates and the main prize of 4 million tenge for further implementation and development with the support of industrial partners.
According to Gulshat Ayesheva, Head of the Office of Commercialisation and Business Incubation of the University, participation in hackathons allows participants to test their strength in an intensive development environment, provides a unique opportunity for networking and professional growth.
