In the 2021-2022 academic year, 153 4th-year students of the specialties «Technology of processing industries» and «Food Production», «Standardization, Certification and Metrology» successfully defended their graduation papers at the higher school «Food technologies and processing productions». In addition to theses and projects, cases were included in the list of qualifying works this year. The main difference between the case method and traditional teaching methods is that students are faced with real problems faced by production. Students need to offer their own solution, which everyone chooses individually.
Thanks to the cases, students learn to overcome difficulties and problems that arise in their work independently during the internship, and gain practical experience in solving non-standard tasks. Students were able to gain practical skills in their future specialty, having fully familiarized themselves with the production process – from raw materials to finished products.
Properly organized work practice during the training period can become the key to successful employment in the future, since one of the priority requirements of potential employers today is the professional competence of the employee. The university is constantly working to improve practical training and increase its effectiveness. If there are vacant positions at enterprises, students can enroll in them if the work is carried out in accordance with the internship program for specialization. This opportunity was successfully used by Gazizova Arailym, who during the practice period worked in «Kaspi-Balyk» LLP as an assistant technologist, Baymuratova Aziza – in «Batys-Product» LLP as a packer, Salamat Aybar – in IP «Murzagalieva L.S.» assistant technologist, Makhambetkyzy Ainur – in LLP «Floodplain May Combines» as a chemist-laboratory assistant, as well as 8 students (Gulfaya Gapparova, Salima Ishmuratova, Kelembai Nazym, Nurmanova Zhuldyzai, Kamila Almaganbetova, Gulnar Kuldzhemirova, Diana Yeraly, Zarina Imasheva) in «Zhaiyk Agro LTD» LLP.
Today, employers themselves are interested in high-quality training of young personnel, since they are their tomorrow’s specialists. And we, for our part, will hope that mutually beneficial cooperation will strengthen and develop.
